This is why I prefer hand tools over power tools. The shavings fall heavy, so I don’t need a mask. It’s quiet enough that I don’t need ear protection. And since I’m the one powering the tools, I’m forced to take breaks.
At work, as a programmer and manager, I rarely see a finish line. Just the next problem. Woodworking gives me something different. It ends. And it’s fun.
